Alex Easton MLA has today called on the Housing Executive to maintain their steps after coming across badly maintained steps in Whitehill.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“Having been on a walk about in Whitehill, along with my colleague Councillor Wesley Irvine, we came across steps at Whitehill Drive which are badly maintained with a tree growing out of the middle of the steps. Not only is this a tripping hazard it could have seen a local resident in the area fall and get injured.”

“I am today questioning how often these steps are checked by the Housing Executive in Whitehill to ensure their safety for residents, and why grass and trees are allowed to grow across some of the step surface way. It is important that there are scheduled inspections and that this set of steps is fixed as soon as possible.”
