Alex Easton MLA has reacted angrily to an attack on a Housing Executive Van at Ballyferris Walk.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“This is just an appalling incident and totally unacceptable that a Housing Executive van has been burnt out by three masked men and the driver threatened. Not only could this appalling incident could have hurt or killed someone, it is the height of madness and I totally condemn this incident it is not what we want in our society or the residents of Kilcooley. The consequences of this stupidity will see the ratepayers of North Down having to pay thousands of pounds to get a new van for the Housing Executive and it has also seen the Housing Executive withdraw services from Kilcooley. This means the ordinary residents will lose out in getting repairs done to their homes because of these irresponsible actions. Those involved are totally irresponsible and I would call on anyone with information to come forward to the PSNI so that those involved can be brought before the courts.”
