Alex Easton MLA has expressed deep concern at an attempted abduction of a young girl in Rathgill Place.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I am deeply concerned to hear reports of an attempted abduction of a young girl in Rathgill. Fortunately the young girl was very brave and ran off and told her parents and gave a description to the PSNI about what happened. It is important that parents know where their children are at all times and that schools and parents teach their children to be aware of stranger danger.”

“I will be contacting the PSNI on the issue and have already spoken to the local community worker in the area. I would urge anyone has any information about this worrying incident to please contact the PSNI straightaway and I would urge the local community to be keep a careful watch.”
