Alex Easton MLA has demanded that the Housing Executive take action to fix fencing and trim the shrubbery between Clandeyboye Close and Kilcooley.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I have been contacted and have spoken with residents living in Clandeyboye Close who are fed up with the state of the fencing and shrubbery dividing Clandeyboye Close and Kilcooley. Having viewed the fencing it is in a bad state of repairs and needs either fixed or replace. The shrubbery has grown out of controlling and is un-kept and far too high and blocking the light of residents, there is also a severe problem with weeds on the footpaths which needs to be addressed also.”

“I have written to both the Housing executive and to DRD on the issues and will wait to see their response, if the response is negative I will intend to invite both the Housing executive and DRD to a meeting with the residents to ask why they can’t fix the mess that has developed over lack of maintenance over the last several years.”
