Alex Easton MLA has condemned those responsible for the damage done to three bus shelters on the Bloomfield Road South and Ballyree Drive in Bloomfield Estate and the Anti-Social Behaviour around the Pensioners bungalows at Skipperstone Avenue.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“This is totally unacceptable that pensioners are being frightened by a small group of individuals that think it is ok to destroy bus shelters that are there for the local community. These bus shelters cost thousands of; pounds and are used for children, local residents and the pensioners living in the area.”

“It is totally unacceptable for thugs to frighten and destroy public property, and I have written to the PSNI and the Councils Anti-Social Behaviour Team to look into the issue, so that those involved can be caught and brought before the courts. Anti-Social behaviour can ruin people’s lives as they just don’t have a physical effect but also an emotional effect on people’s lives, people have the right to peace in their own homes, and that’s why it is important we get on top of this issue.”
