Alex Easton MLA has today called on transport NI and the Housing Executive to take action to resolve persistent flooding at Kilclief Gardens after heavy rain.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I received numerous calls for help on Saturday evening as the heavy rains caused serious flood on the footpaths outside people’s homes at Kilclief Gardens, Bangor. The whole path way was flooded, making it impossible for residents to walk along and there was a very real danger that the water was going to come up into residents homes. I had to call both the Housing Executive and Transport NI who has to provide emergency sandbags to prevent further flooding and damage to properties. I understand this has been a long standing issue and it is now time for an effective plan to be put together by both the Housing Executive and Transport Ni to find a permanent solution so that residents don’t have to live in fear of flooding that could damage their properties.”
