Alex Easton MLA has today called on the South Eastern Trust to provide a Hydrotherapy pool for Fibromyalgia Sufferers.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“The South Eastern Trust is the only trust in Northern Ireland that does not provide a Hydrotherapy pool for Fibromyalgia Sufferers. As someone who has a close relative who suffers from Fibromyalgia I know the effects it has on their health with such symptoms which include debilitating fatigue, sleep disturbance, and joint stiffness. Some people experience, bladder abnormalities, cognitive dysfunction, bowel, numbness and tingling. There are hundreds of people across Northern Ireland who experience some of these effects and it is important that the SE Trust provide the most effective treatments to help elevate these conditions. I have written to the SE Trusts Chief Executive on the issue and am calling on the South Eastern Trust to look closely at providing this much needed Hydrotherapy pool for Fibromyalgia Sufferers across North Down.
