Alex Easton MLA was delighted to have attended the welcome parade for the First Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland in Holywood.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I was delighted to have attended the welcome parade for the Royal Regiment of Scotland in Holywood on Thursday morning. This regiment has a proud and gallant history and it was fantastic to see the crowds who lined the streets of Holywood to give the Royal Regiment of Scotland such a warm welcome to the Town of Holywood. Holywood has always been a garrison town and this is the latest in a long line of distinguished regiments that have taken up residents in Place Barracks. I hope that in the future we can continue to have these types of parades, for any new regiment coming to Palace Barracks as it helps to build up good relationships and helps to boost the moral for residents living in Holywood.
