Alex Easton MLA was delighted to hear that 118 Housing Executive Homes in the Bangor and Holywood area are to have gas heating installed over the next twelve month period.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I was delighted to hear from an N I Assembly written question to the DSD Minister that I had submitted, that 86 homes Housing Executive property’s in Bangor and 32 properties in Holywood will have gas heating installed. The exact breakdown will see 32 homes in Rathgill & Willowbrook, 36 in Kilcooley, 13 in Groomsport and a further 5 in Conlig. In Holywood we will see 24 homes in the Loughview area and 5 in Redburn with a final 3 in the Strand area.”
“This will be excellent news for these residents who will hopefully see such benefits such as cleaner energy, but also lower heating bills. I welcome the decision by the Housing Executive to move these property’s to gas but would urge the Housing Executive to go much further and quicker, by having their entire stock converted to gas to heap residents with their heating bills.”
